Kreng’s peculiar world of sound drew attention from the Norwegian record label Miasmah (now operating from Berlin). Labelboss Erik K. Skodvin approached him to release music from his soundtracks for theatre. This resulted in the critically acclaimed album’ L’Autopsie Phénoménale de Dieu’ (2009), followed by ‘Grimoire’ (2011), which earned him a reputation as one of the leading figures in the world of modern-classical-electronic composition. In 2012, the lavishly designed retrospective compilation box ‘Works For Abattoir Fermé 2007-2011’ was released. This collector’s item sold out in less than three weeks. In 2013 the 7″ vinyl ‘… And Then in The Morning’ was released by the label Sonic Pieces. ‘The Summoner’ (2015), his most personal record to date, was created around the Kübler-Ross model of the five stages of grief. Belgian sludgemetalband Amenra collaborated with him on one track. German musician and composer Nils Frahm mastered most of his albums. ‘To Yield’, a new album, has been announced for release in 2020.

'With the captivating ambient dronescapes of "Selfed", Belgian composer Kreng continues a welcome move into scoring for film and dance, or visual analogs, which his fans have been craving for since he first emerged in the late 00's.' (Boomkat)

Released as a double 10" on Drone Records - Substantia Innominata (2016)

'The Summoner' is grown from grief. Prompted by the death of several close friends, its gravity becomes almost chokingly impending. As the first Kreng album to entirely eschew samples in favour of 12 string players, it's also testament to his vision and fortitude that his ideas translate so directly and powerfully to the acoustic realm. An incredible album this, well worthy of your darkest, most sleep deprived listening sessions. (Boomkat)

Released on Miasmah (2015).

'It’s not “horror music” in the modern sense, but in the traditional: built by suspense rather than gore, suggestion rather than shock.' (A Closer Listen)

Released as a 7" on Sonic Pieces.

'Kreng plunges even deeper into the heart of darkness with his sophomore album. The results are just phenomenal, combining a palpably European antique grandeur with cutting edge sound design and a pervasive occult charge.' (Boomkat)

Released on Miasmah (2011).

Listen to 'Wrak' below.

'Hovering like a unshakeable doubt or a 3 a.m. bout of existential dread, L'Autopsie is brilliantly sinister mood music; put it on in the background and it will surely make whatever task you are engaged in at least 30% more evil.' (Pitchfork)
